As part of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, over 2,500 world-class performing artists will take part in the largest free cultural festival ever held in Australia and Swinburne students will be amongst them.
The Arts Centre lawn will be transformed into a spectacular Aussie beach for the duration of the Commonwealth Games, featuring a big screen, a performance stage and music and street theatre.

Sink or Swimburne is a quizzical collection of surreal performance vignettes, tableaux and parades inspired by the sea. From vaudeville to visual theatre, with lashings of high drama, black comedy, oceanic mardi-gras and piracy thrown in for good measure, this tribute to Australia's love affair with the seaside sails a wild course through some of our favourite beach icons.
