The Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (Mechanical) aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills required for a career in manufacturing and mechanical control engineering. Putting a major emphasis on automation systems, the course will allow you to pursue employment in numerous roles, including:
- Tool designer
- Dafting technician
- Production supervisor/planner/controller
- Estimator
- Supervisor or manager of manufacturing and assembly plants
- Sales technical officer
The flexibility of the course is enhanced by the opportunity to choose from three distinct streams:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing - production, computer numerical control (CNC), computer aided manufacturing (CAM) or thermodymanics/fluid power.
- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
