21539VIC Workplace First Aid (Level 2) Update
Purpose and Description
This one day refresher course is designed to revise the core competencies identified by industry and commerce to meet the requirements of State Government Departments and Statutory Authorities. The course will enable participants to:
- Update competencies of the Level 2 course.
- Receive information of any new policies or procedures introduced
to the area.
- Manage life threatening incidents before the arrival of ambulance
or other assistance.
- Offer first aid assistance to persons suffering from minor injury
or illness in the workplace.
- Keep practical and adequate records of first aid treatment

The course is very practical in presentation:
Current Workplace First Aid (Level 2) or equivalent certification
is a pre-requisite.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete
the course will be awarded Swinburne University of Technology approved
certification. The qualification lasts for three years.
CPR Refresher training should be undertaken annually.
Course Venue
You may choose to attend one of the programmed
courses run throughout the year at Swinburne University of Technology
or ask for the course to be presented on-site for your organisation.
In this case the course would be tailored to meet your specific
training needs.

Course Cancellation Policy
- 3+ weeks prior to program: full refund.
- 2 weeks prior to program: fee refund less 25%, unless transferred
to another COHST program.
- Less than 2 weeks: no refund, unless transferred to another COHST
program.
- Swinburne University reserves the right to cancel courses at any
time. In this case, money paid is fully refunded.
