21540VIC Occupational First Aid Update (Level 2/3)

arorw Purpose and Description

nationally acreditedThis three day refresher course is designed for people involved in operations at the first aid room level of a major organisation. The course will also assist those who are associated with hazardous work practices or tasks. Course content may be varied depending on specific hazards identified by the group or client. The course will enable participants to:

  • update competencies of the Level 2 and 3 courses

  • receive any new information or policy changes that may affect their work as a first aid practitioner

  • practise use of problem solving skills and work in cooperation with others

  • refresh competencies on a limited range of specialised additional equipment
  • broaden their knowledge base into associated areas of workplace health and safety

The course combines practical and theoretical elements. Current Workplace First Aid (Level 2) or equivalent certification is a pre-requisite.

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded Swinburne University of Technology approved certification. The qualification lasts for one year.

You may choose to attend one of the programmed courses run throughout the year at Swinburne University of Technology or ask for the course to be presented on-site for your organisation. In this case the course would be tailored to meet your specific training needs.

3+ weeks prior to program: full refund. 2 weeks prior to program: fee refund less 25%, unless transferred to another COHST program. Less than 2 weeks: no refund, unless transferred to another COHST program. Swinburne University reserves the right to cancel courses at any time. In this case, money paid is fully refunded.
