21539VIC Workplace First Aid - Senior (Level 2)
Purpose and Description
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide essential first aid. Participants learn the skills to recognise and respond to an emergency using basic life support measures. The course will enable participants to:
- Extend competencies of the Level 1 course.
- Manage life threatenng incidents before the arrival of ambulance
or other assistance.
- Offer first aid assistance to persons suffering from minor injury
or illness in the workplace.
- Keep practical and adequate records of first aid treatment

The course is very practical in presentation:
pre-requisites are not required.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete
the course will be awarded Swinburne University of Technology approved
certification. The qualification lasts for three years and may be
extended a further three years by attending a two day update course
before expiry.
CPR Refresher training should be undertaken annually.
Course Venue
You may choose to attend one of the programmed
courses run throughout the year at Swinburne University of Technology
or ask for the course to be presented on-site for your organisation.

training needs.

Course Cancellation Policy
- 3+ weeks prior to program: full refund.
- 2 weeks prior to program: fee refund less 25%, unless transferred
to another COHST program.
- Less than 2 weeks: no refund, unless transferred to another COHST
program.
- Swinburne University reserves the right to cancel courses at any
time. In this case, money paid is fully refunded.
