VBN751 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Purpose and Description
This practical three to four hour course is designed to meet competence in the knowledge and skills necessary to sustain or restore breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant. The course is based on Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) policies and standards, concentrating on a practical approach to the skills involved. The course will enable participants to:
- Respond to life threatening emergencies
- Call medical assistance and provide effective first aid management
before the arrival of ambulance or other assistance
- Perform effective resuscitation
- Look after the unconscious victim

The course is very practical in presentation:
pre-requisites are not required.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete
the course will be awarded Swinburne University of Technology approved
certification. The qualification lasts for one year.

You may choose to attend one of the programmed
courses run throughout the year at Swinburne University of Technology
or ask for the course to be presented on-site for your organisation.

3+ weeks prior to program: full refund.
2 weeks prior to program: fee refund less 25%, unless transferred to another COHST program.
Less than 2 weeks: no refund, unless transferred to another COHST program.
