Description

This course is designed to highlight the major farm hazards to farmers and other people living and working on farms. The course provides practical steps to eliminate or minimise the risk of injury or death. Participants will learn the key health and safety legal requirements relating to their workplace.

The course is both practical and theory based and will be delivered through flexible delivery. Seven hours of instructional and practical activities will be conducted by a qualified and highyl experienced trainer. This course specifically targets the participants' farm working environment and refers to current relevant Code of Practices and Guidance Notes.

The Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Training (COHST) will provide participants with a booklet, a set of guidance notes, a risk assessment checklist and an action plan; all included on a CDROM.
